Chennai: Sleouth Air Customs Seizes 990g Gold Worth ₹ 44.2 lakh from a passenger who arrived from Dubai on February 11.
Passengers, who have hidden the gold sewn in his underwear, arrested.
Following the tip that there might be an effort to smuggle gold, customs officials intercept Mohammad Yasar Arabath, 32, from Chennai, as soon as he landed from Dubai with flydubai flights.
A check revealed that he had a plastic bag that was sewn in his underwear.
