Golden Bridge: Portal to Heritage

Vadodara: It is believed that when it comes to the holy rivers of India, even the holy ganga comes in the form of a cow for refining bathing in Narmada, whose name means ‘pleasure giver.’ That is the saying! But for thousands of commuters, only 1.41 km from Bharuch to Ankleshwar and Versa Versa used to be almost unpleasant.
Dangerous smoke emitted by vehicles, Snarl traffic, honking and hours of traffic jams frustrated during peak hours only to cross the Narmada River with almost no opportunity to enjoy the passengers to enjoy the beautiful view of Narmada Lifely.
It has changed when hundreds of pedestrians, fans of inheritance and pedallers are experiencing fresh air aroma on the ‘golden bridge’ built in the magnificent English in Bharuch which has turned into a literal ‘legacy’ in the ‘retirement’ this July.
For 140 years, the bridge-turned bridge acted as a navel cope between the twin cities of Bharuch and Ankleshwar on the National Highway Mumbai-Ahmedabad in South Gujarat.
Now, it has turned into a means to connect with inheritance, health and nature.
After the magnificent four lane road bridge which was built in 66 months for RS 430 Crore was inaugurated in July this year, ‘Bridge Golden’ suddenly turned into a heaven walker.
“No one can match 45 minutes of morning trip that I enjoy every day at Bridge Golden,” said Sanjay Shah, 53, a resident of Bharuch, who liked the Industrial Trade business.
Cycling fans also have a new venue with ankleshwar bicycle club with 220 members regularly pedaling this bridge.
Except for two-wheeled two wheels and cars from the nearest villages, people can see pedestrians across the bridge, take the road relaxed end to tip, admire the beauty of Marvel’s technique above Narmada as bad people to get along with the Gulf of Khambhat, about 50 km to West.
“This is a technical miracle, a masterpiece of architecture that has survived until age.
It should be declared a national heritage monument for tourists,” said the retired employee of the Shreyansh Shah government, who recalled how he threw a coin from his pocket into the river while crossing the bridge as a prayer for luck for ‘Maa Reva’.
