Amritsar: The police so far cannot ascertain the identity of the person who contrasts in the Panctorum Sanctum from the Golden Temple on December 18 at night.
Police Commissioner Amritsar Sukhchain Singh Gill on Monday said police did not find any identity card or document that could help track the background of the person to reach the bottom of the kasing.
Gill told me that the police had circulated the photo of the person who was arrested in a CCTV camera if anyone could lead to his identity or family member.
He said the special investigation team (sitting) had started an investigation, but was unable to put his hand in the instructions on the person responsible for the blasphemy.
He added that the police had registered the case below 295A and 307 IPC at the East Division Police Station on December 19.
The police also released a cellphone number where anyone can be contacted.
