Mumbai: More than 10 people gathered on Juhu Beach at midnight on July 5 to celebrate the birthday of one of their members.
10 people are part of a group that regularly looks showing several gold chains on each.
Santa Cruz police submitted the first information report against them all for violating the order forbade Covid-19 and was found to be gathered on the beach without masks, and did not follow social distance.
The police sought the defendant after the incident recorded on the cellphone had become a viral on social media on Friday.
The group of people is a friend of ‘Hindustan Bhau’-Babalu Fatak – from Khar Danda Locality.
“The group violated the command of the pandemic and entered the beach in the middle of the night to cut the cake one of their members’s birthdays,” said Senior Inspector of Police Santacruz Dyaneshwar Ganore.
The police got a CCTV footage from a place that caught a car (DL-10-CP-2194) where the whole group came to the beach.
“We have CCTV and videos that become viral about violations.
Everything is studded with a gold chain.
We have identified the defendant and is in the process of arrest in this case,” Ganore said.
