Nagpur: A total of 1,098 schools continuing direct teaching for class I students to VII in the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) limit for the first time after the pandemic began, on Thursday.
There is also a continuous reluctance of some but wider acceptance of many.
Many vibrant parents and schools cannot make it on the first day but all are ready to start from Friday or Monday.
Kirman Misskar, whose two daughters returned to school on Thursday, “They are quite passionate.
Both of them wake up at 5.30 in the morning for school.
They are very happy to meet their teachers and classmates.
This school is close so it doesn’t face the problem but I have to make two Rounds because of the different timings like in class IV and others in class VI.
There is no tension preparing tiffin.
We advise them not to violate Covid norms and they follow it.
“Education officer NMC Preeti Misrikotkar said 1,00,223 students attended school for all parts that are open now.
“This is 40% of total registration,” he said.
NMC has allowed 50% of students to attend the class of people with all Covid norms.
In accordance with NMC data, more than 2.04 lakh students are registered in city schools.
Some school principals said the presence reached 80pc capacity which was allowed while the others said they had not received a letter of approval from parents.
The school said all the norms were followed and settings were made even though there was a short notification.
Misrikotar and other officials visited several civilian schools and found the results either.
When NMC permissions appear as a surprise, many schools and parents do not decide.
Shahnoor Mirza, Principal of JN Parsi Girls and JR College, said they took permission from Monday.
“We did not reopen for 1 to 7.
Class 8 to 12 we received a good response.
They are waiting for approval letters from parents,” he said, adding that they would have two shifts for 5 to 7th.rachna singh, the principal St Ursula Girls, also said they have not received approval from parents.
“We have postponed the reopening because the school will remain closed for the Christmas holidays from December 22.
We need to rest for the teacher too.
We will receive a call whether to start this month or January.
The permission suddenly arrived,” he said.
Ahmed, the President of the Principal’s charity association, said the children were very fans on the first day.
“It is a very necessary step.
Everything has been opened and the school is the last to reopen.
The presence is good everywhere.
Until the brave step is taken, the school may not be back.
