As Android 12 continues, the report has begun to come about the expected features of the next Android operating system.
According to the new report, Google is working on the tap-to-transfer feature for the media on Android 13.
The Android police allegedly obtained a UI demo to showcase the new “TTT Media” feature that debuted with Android 13.
This demo is said to be prepared by Google.
With new features, devices running on Android 13 will be able to transfer media from their cellphones to the nearest speaker or other devices just by approaching the source.
This will show the ‘chip’ notification at the top of the mobile screen as a user approaches a compatible source.
There will also be a ‘Cancel’ button to reverse the transfer if it happens accidentally.
This feature will function the same as what is currently available on the iPhone and Homepod device.
On Apple devices, the feature functions using the U1 chip.
It starts appearing on several Android devices such as Pixel 6 Pro and Samsung’s superior cellphone.
But it’s far from bulk adoption.
Possible Google can use NFC for upcoming features.
But it is not yet clear whether the feature will function with all Android devices, speakers, TV, and smartwatches or just to choose from.
The Android 13 platform is also expected to offer a large increase in audio streaming through Bluetooth.
Google has combined Le Audio Codec (LC3) and has added it to system settings as a new option.
When connecting to audio devices, the codec will take the highest priority, which means that the supported device will try to make a LE audio connection before the other, report the Android police.
