Doing online or banking transactions on a laptop means ensuring that your cellphone is with you to enter the OTP received.
These requirements / needs can change in the coming weeks or maybe even in a few days – at least for Android phone users.

In layman’s terms, Google is working on the features to enable one-time SMS transfer (OTPS) from a cellphone to a PC with Chrome 93 update.
Chrome 93 will support the webotp interface (one-time web password), this means that the web browser will automatically Detect and read the code received on the user’s cellphone and enter it.
Condition is that users need an Android phone, and browse the handset and desktop must enter the same Google account.
Another important requirement is that the website they use must support webotp technology.
The reason for this feature for now depending on the chromium web machine is why it does not support Apple devices.
Android phone users can try this feature on the Beta Chrome page (https://developer.chrome.com/blog/cross-device-webotp/) Prerequisites * Desktop or Laptop Computers (Windows, Mac, Linux or Chrome OS).
* Android phone with Google Play Services version 20.30.12 or higher.
* Chrome 93 or newer, both on desktops or laptops and cellular.
Chrome 93 Beta is available at the end of July 2021.
* You need to enter the same Google account on both Chrome and Mobile Chrome desktops.
For example, through https://myacacount.google.com/ or https://mail.google.com.
No need to turn on synchronization.
* On your Android device, you must enter Android through “Setting-> Google”.
* Chrome 93 must be the default browser on an Android device.
* Chrome 93 must run well in the foreground or background on an Android device.
