Tech Giant Google launches a new feature to chat in Gmail which will allow users to make calls meet one on one without having to use the URL.
This feature was first ridiculed by the company in September last year.
According to report by 9To5Google, it launches Android and iOS users for personal accounts and workspaces.
After the features are available, the user will see the button in the upper right corner that will allow them to start audio / video calls.
This means that the call will begin directly from the button, instead of entering the meeting / invitation link in the chat that other people can click to join.
This feature will help for group meetings and will make Google meetings more spontaneously.
Active calls in chat for Gmail will be marked with blue banners at the top of the screen that records people and duration.
Users will also see “icons meet on the chat list.” Missed calls, on the other hand, will be marked red.
At present, video / one-one audio conversations are available for individual calls.
Users need to have a Gmail application even if they have a Standalone Google Chat application installed on their device.
“When some teams start back to the office, while others remain distributed, we hope it makes it easier to connect with your colleagues in the Hybrid work world.
This feature will allow you to switch smoothly between chat to video calls or audio when needed, Helps you collaborate and move your work forward, “Google said.
