Google launches updates to the Google Duo application that carries a simpler homescreen.
The update was announced by the company through a post forum support and was first seen by the Android police.
Google says that it will remove the old button.
This will add the “new call” button instead.
The button, as Google said in the post, will allow the DUO application users to start calls on Google Duo, create a group, look at a list of groups and contacts and call their “home” devices.
Updates will be launched to the Google Duo application user in the next few weeks.
In the post, Google explains how users can access features that will be removed from the Home screen.
To send a message to a contact, someone must tap the contact and then click on the message button.
If they want to send messages to many users, they need to create a group first.
To create a new group, tap the new call button and then click on the Create Group link.
Existing contacts and groups will be found through searches or through the entry point “new call”.
Someone can invite a friend to Google Duo by tapping “new calls” and looking for good contacts in the search bar or below the contact list.
With the increasing popularity of Google Meet, the company seems to have shifted its focus from Google Duo.
Tech Giant has introduced several Duo application features to the Google Meet platform.
This includes new abilities added to add call filters and effects.
It is rumored that the Google Duo application can be removed immediately with the meeting as the Google Main Video Conference platform.
