About 80 employees were fired by Google in the last two years for corporate data and tools that abuse.
According to a report with a motherboard, some of the employees who are fired have used the Google tool to spy internally on other employees.
In 2020, Google fired 36 employees, which according to the report, handled confidential information inappropriately.
This report shows that most of them have shared certain information with people abroad.
In 2019, Google fired 26 other people for reasons “related security” and 18 other people were released for the same thing.
In accordance with the internal document seen by the motherboard, around 10% of the charges against employees are related to system abuse.
This can include accessing employee data or users, changing or deleting user data or employees among other things.
Google generally does not trigger people immediately for data handling errors because the report said other steps adopted were warnings, training and coaching.
