Google in posting its newest blog has published 25 newly worrying vulnerabilities found over the past few weeks.
Among the 25 registered vulnerabilities, seven are considered as a ‘high’ risk, while 18 is assessed as a ‘moderate’ risk level and the threat level of ‘low’ poses remaining.
These threats affect Chrome on all platforms including Windows, MacOS and Linux.
Here is a list of high-level vulnerabilities listed by Google on the official blog post: High CVE-2021-38008: Use after free in the media.
High CVE-2021-38009: Inappropriate implementation in Cache High CVE-2021-38006: Use After FREE at the Storage Foundation.
High CVE-2021-38007: type of confusion in v8.
High CVE-2021-38005: Use after free in the loader.
High CVE-2021-38010: Inappropriate implementation in service workers.
High CVE-2021-38011: Use after free in storage foundations.
Google currently limits details related to this vulnerability.
However, if you are worried about something wrong, Google has released improvements to it in the form of Chrome 96 update.
Users can only update their Chrome web browser with the latest version of 96.0.4664.45 to fix this problem with a web browser.
But it is important to note that updates will be launched gradually and may take days or weeks.
For those who wonder if they have to update their web browser just to fix some security shortages, Chrome 96 also brings some small improvements such as the front cache, enhanced PWW support and more.
