Google is reported to work on augmented reality headsets (AR).
According to a report by the threshold, the company is developing an AR headset that focuses on consumers, projects that are said internally by Iris.
The device will be powered by the Google Custom Silicone Chipset and will use the camera facing outside to combine the computer chart with real-world video feed.
According to the report, several Google Pixel teams are working on devices.
This device is in the early stages of development and will compete with the upcoming Ar Meta headset (previously Facebook) and Apple.
It is not clear whether Google Google headsets will become a pixel-branded headset or not.
According to the report by the New York Times, this project is the result of the northern acquisition – a pioneer in the human computer interface and smart glasses.
The acquisition was made in 2020.
It should be noted that when Google acquired North Year last year, Canadian companies stopped selling focals 1.0 and decided to cancel Focals 2.0.
