Written by news2in

Google is reported to work on augmented reality (AR) smart glasses.
According to a report by the New York Times, Google “maintains a new project” where “works on new iterations from smart glasses.” This report shows that the latest project is the result of the northern acquisition – pioneers in the human computer interface and smart glasses.
The acquisition was made in 2020.
No project details are known.
It may be too early to say if Google plans to release a stoppap headset or whether it is fully focused on the factor of the form of the smart glasses.
It was important that when Google acquired North Year last year, Canadian companies stopped selling Focals 1.0 and decided to cancel Focals 2.0.
Some tin and previous engineers worked with North now part of the Division of Devices & Services on Google responsible for pixels, nests, and other hardware.
The organization’s shift makes sense ahead of consumer products.
Also, the team builds augmented reality OS is also placed under the device & service.
Not only Google, but other technological giants also work on mixed reality hardware.
Apple, for one, has worked on a mixed reality headset for a long time now.
It is rumored that companies based in Cupertino plan to introduce devices next year.
Mixed reality headsets, rumors, can be used for AR development other than virtual reality, through the use of pass-through cameras where users can see the real world through video feeds rather than directly.
Meta also worked on a similar project called Project Cambria for 2022.
