New Delhi: Most people have worked from home for the past 18 months or more because of a pandemic.
With more people now relying on video calls, the popularity of video conference applications such as Zoom and Microsoft teams are on the rise.
The popularity and importance of video conference applications make the company constantly improve their products and add new features.
Now Google’s latest updates for Chrome OS, will allow users to open the Google Meet application directly from the launcher.
Google has announced that with the latest Chrome OS update, the video conference application will be installed before in all Chromebooks.
This step seems to be intended for students using Chromebook for class and online learning.
Because Chromebook users don’t need to install the video conference application and will get Google Meet.
Google also added that it has made some performance improvements such as adapting video calls to different network conditions and adjusting video performance during screen sharing that will further enhance the user experience.
Recently, Google also partnered with zoom to launch an enhanced application version for Chromebook on the Google Play Store.
This new version provides faster performance, takes less storage and includes the latest features such as breakout space, direct transcription and new background masking features for privacy.
Apart from this, the latest Chrome OS update brings features such as support for e-SIM, emoji selector updated with new digital search bars and magazines for children and family in the Explore Application.
