Google is set to expand the maximum number of participants in Google’s video calls meet 500 for certain customers.
The company announced this on the Workspace Blog Update.
According to the announcement, customers to businesses plus companies, company standards, plus companies, and plus levels of levels can now allow up to 500 participants in one Google call meeting, up from 250 for corporate customers.
The launch of the feature has begun and is expected to be completed on November 19, i.e.
Friday.
Participant limits for eligible programs will be automatically upgraded to 500 for all meetings.
For larger meetings, users have options for streaming stays that can be watched up to 100,000 people at once.
However, participating limit extensions up to 500 members, however, are not available for Google Workspace Essentials, Business Starter, Business Standards, Essentials Enterprise, Education Fundamentals, Front Lines, Nonprofits, Increasing Teaching and Learning, Google Google Words.
It seems like a virtual meeting is here to stay in mode for a longer time than we expected.
While some workplaces begin to adjust to hybrid work culture that involves working from their homes and offices, with employees who work in shifts (which means reducing the crowd) but when it comes to holding a big meeting, they are still at risk.
This could be the reason why Google took steps to expand the number of participants so that the big meeting was not broken down into a smaller meeting, causing the loss of time and efforts both.
