Google launched the latest Pixel smartphone on Tuesday, betting on the first specially designed system processor and a new version of the Android operating system to captivate buyers from the Apple iPhone.
Pixel 6 and 6 Pro are only different in size, memory and camera specifications, with both built around the Google System-on-chip, special semiconductors that require four years of development.
Tensor is optimized for Google’s strength in image processing and artificial intelligence, helps provide faster and more accurate greeting recognition and better battery life.
While Google Android is the top smartphone operating system globally, the alphabet unit has a minuscule market share on mobile.
The company is now trying to distinguish from competition with its own processor, join Apple in making such a move.
Outside the iPhone, most smartphones depend on Qualcomm and, to a lower level, MediaTek for their processors, which lead to a lack of difference differences.
In addition to tensor, Google’s new device includes the Titan M2 security chip company, which is assigned to handle work such as passcode protection, encryption, and safe transactions in the application.
