Google ‘stole the’ sonos’ speaker, arranging US judges

Audio companies based in US Sonos have accused Google of stealing technology after the two companies have held partnerships.
Sonos submitted a case against Google and in the initial verdict, a judge had decided that Google did violate the technology of partner companies.
According to a report by Verge, a US Trade Commission Judge decided that Google has violated five patents mentioned by Sonos in the lawsuit.
Even though this is not a final decision but comes as a blow to Google.
Sonos, in a statement to the threshold, said that the verdict was “only the first step in a long battle”.
It also added that it was “an important milestone in sustainable efforts to maintain Sonos technology to Google.” Google, on the other hand, said that it did not agree with the verdict.
“We don’t use Sonos technology, and we compete with the quality of our products and the benefits of our ideas.
We do not agree with this preliminary decision and will continue to make our case in the upcoming review process,” Google spokesman told the threshold.
Google and Sonos have entered the partnership in 2013 to work on smart speakers together.
However, in 2020, Sonos said that Google stole his patent, including design.
CEO Sonos Patrick Spence was later quoted “Google is an important partner that we succeeded in collaboration for many years, including bringing Google’s assistant to the Sonos platform last year.
However, Google has openly and deliberately copied patented technology in creating audio products.” It was the early days of the legal battle between Google and Sonos but it was the last one who seemed to have reached the first blow.
