The Android operating system already has a fairly functional lock screen and always-inside display.
But, what if we say that it can be much better, smarter and more contextual if Google applies the ideas they have had.
It sounds interesting right? Well, Android Authority has managed to secure some information about Google’s vision on the lockscreen and aod screen that is smarter for Android.
The Tech website has reported that Google began working on a new key screen that was enhanced during the development of Android 11, however, the company canceled it and never managed to get to the final version.

According to the report, Google has a project called SmartSpace, which is an advanced version of Google in a glimpse feature and it is capable of more than the current version.
The report claims that smartspace is more than just a widget and it is also intended to integrate with a lock screen and the screen is always to display relevant information directly on the lock screen and always-on based on location, time, situation and requirements.
Basically, Google’s smartspace is exactly how Google can use the data they already have on the telephone user.
The Android authority also notes that this screen can display information such as travel applications, maps when you travel or bring up payment applications when in the store, show tickets if stored on the phone and more.

While all this sounds very interesting and will be very pleasant to see things like that on our Android device, but, the report clearly mentions that Google has discarded ideas and has implemented features in the bit and pieces on the operating system.
The reason for sure behind this is unknown to the source, according to Android Authority, but the main concern can be a problem of data privacy because this is sensitive information and if Google has implemented several authentication processes here, all ideas will fail.
However, Asus and Apple both have options to only display key screen content if the person’s face is recognized.
Google can use something similar for this too.
