Giant Giant Google has announced plans to replace the backup application and synchronize with an integrated drive for desktop applications.
For those who are unconscious, Google, in 2017 divide the desktop drive application in two – reserves and synchronous for individuals and drives for desktops for business users.
Starting July 19, Google will start transferring users to a new drive for desktop applications.
Backup users and synchronization will begin to receive requests that ask them to transition to drive for desktops in the coming weeks.
Google tried to complete the transition on September 2021.
The announcement was made by Google in a blog post.
“With a drive for a desktop, you can access the file directly from the cloud on your Mac or PC, which frees your disk space and save your network bandwidth.
Because the drive file is stored in the Cloud, every change you or your collaborator is updated automatically where- Where, and you will always have access to the latest version, “Google said at the post.
Drive for desktop is an application for Windows and MacOS.
This allows one to quickly access the content directly from the desktop.
Automatically synchronizes local files to the cloud in the background.
It helps minimize the time needed to spend time synchronizing files.
Google will turn off the backup and synchronization application from October this year.
After this, the user will not be able to enter the platform.
