Google now expands the RSVP option in the Google Calendar invites to a virtual meeting.
With new features, Google Workspace users will be able to show whether they plan to join meetings in the meeting room or almost.
“Good organizers and guests will be able to see how the audience plans to attend a meeting in the event details.
This will help the participant’s meeting know what is expected when joining a meeting, and be prepared,” Google said in a blog post.
The new RSVP feature will initially be available on the Google calendar, and will soon come to the calendar invitation in Gmail.
“If you choose a new RSVP option, the Details of the JOIN (E.G.” JOIN VIRTUAL “) is not shared with contacts on other platforms, such as Microsoft Outlook,” Google added.
Meanwhile, Google participants meet video calls can now see users who have raised hands easily with new icons.
Also, if you have raised your hand to talk during a meeting video call, Google will automatically detect when you finish talking and then automatically lower your hand in the call.
So, even if you forget to turn off the Increase Option, Google will automatically do it for you so that other participants can continue the meeting.
This update will be available for company users and other GSUITE customers.
Free Google Account Holders may not get this feature.
Also, Google recently introduced big changes to the Google interface meeting video calls.
The new UI is intended to make settings and features that are more accessible.
There is a new bar that will always be seen during any call.
This will allow you to easily access all options without having to look for it in the settings.
