Google is working on android applications called related to helping people suffering from speech disorders.
This application aims to help people with speech disorders to communicate more easily with other people and interact with the Google assistant.
In accordance with the company, this application is made possible by more than one million speech samples recorded by participants of the company’s research efforts.
This application is still under development and is not available for download at this time.
The company is currently looking for English-language testers in Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the United States to try the application and provide feedback.
As the initial tester of the project is related, people will be asked to record a set of phrases.
This application will use these phrases to automatically learn how to understand unique talk patterns, and provide access to three main application features: Listen, repeat and assistant.
Listen features on the application copying greetings for text in real-time, so users can copy text to other applications or let people read what they want to convey to them.
Recurrent feature reveals what users say using synthesized sounds.
This feature can help in face-to-face conversations or even when users want to talk to the home assistant device.
Feature assistant allows users to speak directly with Google Assistant from within the related application.
