While Google prepares to uncover the Pixel 6 series, it is rumored that the technology giant will also eliminate the wrap from the pixel fold later this year.
The foldable smartphone market is mainly dominated by Samsung and with the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Flip 3, the technology giant then sealed its place.
But things can change with Google entering the foldable smart phone space.
Most of the main smartphone brands have observed foldable smartphones and according to leak reports distributed by senior directors on the supply chain consultant display, Google Pixel folds will be launched in the fourth quarter of 2021.
The upcoming folding smartphone from Google is likely to come up with the speed of refreshing speed 120Hz like its competitors.
This phone is expected to boast a triple rear camera setting with a 50MP primary sensor, 12MP ultra-wide lens and 48MP telefoto lens with 4x optical zoom.
It can be rumored that Google’s under-screen camera will also debut along with the brand’s first folding device.
The report shows that Google’s folding smartphone will be powered by a tensor chipset paired with 12GB of RAM.
This phone is expected to get up to 512GB of internal storage.
Google has officially disclosed information about future folding devices even though the technology giant did confirm the testing of folding prototypes.
According to the online report, Google has reached an agreement with Samsung to get an OLED LPO panel for a folding smartphone.
The report also shows that pixel folding will display a 7.6-inch screen with a resolution of 1768 x 2208 pixels.
It is hoped that the technology giant will try to disrupt Samsung’s market share at competitive prices for future folding devices.
