Nagpur: Without a large family attraction in the city, International Zoological Park International Zoologian Thackeray on Jalan Katol turns into a hotspot for citizens.
After the locking conditions were relaxed from June 22, there had been a flood of visitors to the park.
“We hope that more crowds now because local authorities have further casual conditions that allow the park to remain open on Saturday and Sunday.
Previously, the park was closed with 4pm,” said Pramod Panchbhai, Divisional Manager, Forest Development Corporation of Maharashtra (FDCM).
“Since January 27 to date, the park really remains open for 82 days just because of Covid restrictions.
During this period, we recorded more than 23,000 visitors, generating RS60 Lakh’s revenue, which reached RS73,000 per day,” Panchbhai said .
With a weekend tourism culture picking up in the city, the number of visitors will rise because of three consecutive holidays starting from Saturday.
There are many questions about booking but because Monsoon’s online order is closed.
The first trip starts at 8:30 a.m.
and there will be a bus after every 45 minutes.
The last trip began at 5:45 a.m.
Indian safari is spread at 115 hectares.
This is divided into four segments, including a 12 km route.
It starts from Leopard Safari and ends with a Safari tiger.
There are 7 leopards (2 men & 5 women), two tigers (Lee & Rajkumar), six Bear Sloth, 14 Nilgis and 4 Chital.
FDCM officials said after relaxation in Covid-19 norms, there had been an increase in the number of visitors.
On Wednesday, 400 people visited Safari.
“Safari is still closed on Monday but because of the public holiday this time, it has remained open,” the official said.
