Bhubaneswar: Goutam Das, which is the top of the Jee Main country, becomes a country’s topper in Jee Advanced too.
He cleared the examination with a score of 282 out 360 with the ranking of all India 115.
Das, a Sai International School student, Bhubaneswar, and the son of a Ballasore-based businessman, was among the top five candidates in IIT, Kharagpur zone.
He cleared the examination in his first attempt and wanted to study at IIT Powai.
He also qualified at NEST-2021 with state rank 1 and all Indians rank 6.
He secured 98.6% in the CBSE CBSE class XII exam this year.
Das said he followed Ncert books for preparation.
“Practice is the only way to get a good score.
If anyone wants to appear for the main and advanced jee test, they must first understand the basic concept before moving to high-level course content,” he added.
He said he wanted to pursue higher education in computer science and then became an officer of IAS.
