Agra: After declaring Soron Kota KasGanj, a site “Teerth”, the Uttar Pradesh Government on Friday is prohibited by the sale of liquor, meat and eggs in all 25 Soron Nagar Palika Parishad wards having a population of around 40,000.
The previous state has banned the sale of liquor and meat at 22 Ward Mathura Nagar Nigam.
Additional District Judge AK Srivastava said, “After state orders, sales and purchases of meat, eggs and liquor will be completely banned in 25 wards falling under the territory of Soron For the act of time bound in this matter.
“According to sources, there are no consumption limits like now.
The BJP government has approved the status of the “pilgrimage” site to Soron Town on October 28.
The Chairperson of the Yogi Adityanath Minister has tweeted about fulfilling the demands of a decade of Dharma Santan’s followers.
Also known as ‘Shukar Kshetra’, the city of Soron accommodates ‘Kund’.
Believers came here for ‘Visionjan’ (immersing) who became mortal, especially ash.
The location has been mentioned in various spiritual literature.
Soron is also believed to be the birthplace of Saint Tulsidas who has compiled Ramcharitmanas.
Can be recalled that part of the Mathura district – an area of 10 square kilometers with Sri Krishna Janambhoom as epicenter – declared a pilgrimage site on September 10.
Seven other places in Mathura, related to Lord Krishna and Radha’s life, have been declared a pilgrimage site by the state in the past.
These include Vrindavan, Gokul, Barsana, Nandgaon, PromDhan, Baldev and Radhakund.
