New Delhi: India may not make a last call to do his timeline for the purpose of ‘zero’ carbon emissions, but the official statement issued on Friday, citing the Minister of Junior at PMO Jitendra Singh, created a fluting for talking about reaching the target in 2050.
That statement, however, was then revised by removing the timeline.
The revised statement, quoting Singh’s speech at the International Climate Summit, only said India “ready to take the leadership role of carbon neutrality”.
The initial statement seems unrealistic because even the current Emitter China has committed to achieving ‘zero’ only in 2060.
