Jhansi: Employees of the State Government Arrested in Banda on Saturday to post unpleasant comments on the Minister of Chief, Yogi Adityanath on social media.
Nizamuddin Siddiqui, who was accused, who worked as officers at the Public Works Department, had posted a series of unpleasant comments against CM on the social media platform.
An unpleasant post from Siddiqui, who was physically challenged, was noticed by several angry BJP workers and filed a complaint at the Kotwali police station in the city.
Cyber cells conducted an investigation and tracked Siddiqui, which was later arrested from his home in the Khaipas City area on Saturday.
Additional SP, Mahendra Pratap Choudhery said the defendant had been booked under Section 153A, 504, 505 (1) B IPC and Section 67 of the Information Technology Act.
“He got a guarantee and had been released.
A letter has been issued to his office for the actions of the department,” ASP added.
