New Delhi: Government spending on advertising in print, electronic and digital media continues to decline over the past three years, information union and the Minister of Broadcasting Thakur told Rajya Sabha on Monday.
In the written response to Poser by MP BJD Sasmit Patra, Thakur said the center spent Rs 429.55 Crore on print advertising and RS 514.29 Crore in TV ads in 2018-19.
In 2019-20, the allocation for print advertising fell to Rs 295.05 Crore, while advertising expenditures on the electronic media platform were cut into 316.99 crore rs.
Pieces at 2020-21, however, are the sharpest.
Government expenditure for advertising falls to Rs 197.49 Crore for Print and RS 167.98 Crore for electronic platforms.
All of these expenses refer to the costs incurred by the outreach and communication bureaus.
Government expenditure pieces came on the heel disclosure made by the government in response to the request of information that said that the center owed more than Rs 147 Crore to various print media outlets, and RS 67 Crore to electronic media, as payment for government advertising, the bill that has been delayed Since 2004.
