Gandhinagar: The State Cabinet on Wednesday gave sanctions a number of Rs 2,440 Crores to develop the beach highway which would ensure better connectivity to attractive places of tourists along the coastline along the coastline.
A spokesman for the state government, the exact vaghani, said that the new road will be built from the statue of Unity (SOU) to Shabri Dham in South Gujarat at a cost of 1,570 crore.
Providing information, the Minister of Education, said that the coastal highway was 135 kilometers would connect Ubhrat, Titha and Chorwad.
He added that the new link would be arranged from Khambhat to the Ambli to facilitate the movement of traffic between Saurashtra and South Gujarat.
Vaghani said that another major highway project that connected Shabri Dham in Dang District for the statue of the unity in Narmada Regency would be placed at a cost of Rs 1,570 Crore.
“The existing road will widen and new streets will be built along the 218 kilometers highway to connect the two Souco and Shabri Dham sites.
Tourism will get a big boost with the completion of this project,” Vaghani said.
Government spokesman said that the cabinet had also cleaned the proposal to buy 1,000 new buses for Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation.
“These buses will be purchased this year and will have a number of facilities for passengers,” said Minister.
