New Delhi: The Ministry of Finance on Tuesday issued an order to implement the cabinet’s decision to climb Deverness Allowance (DA) for central government employees to 28 percent from July last week, the Union Cabinet has approved 11 percentages of points in DA and the assistance of existence (DR) for Central and retired government employees with the effect of July 1, profitably more than 48 employees of the Lakh Central Government, and 65 lakh retirees.
With this, the new level will be 28 percent, up from 17 percent.
In office memorandum, the department of expenditure under the Ministry of Finance said that DA paid to the Central Government employees will be increased from the level of 17 percent to 28 percent of basic payments.
This increase destroyed additional installments that arose on January 1, 2020; July 1, 2020, and January 1, 2021.
“This order also applies to civilian employees paid from defense service estimates,” he said, adding to the personnel of armed forces and separate train employees to be issued by each ministry.
In April last year, the Ministry of Finance has held an increase in DA until June 30, 2021, due to Covid-19 pandemic.
