Government OPPN target for question CAG on Kiifb anomalies

Thiruvananthapuram: In the initial audit conducted by Comtroller and General Auditor (CAG) in Kiifb, it has shown several anomalies in staff appointments and about disbursing their salaries.
However, this was not made part of the Final Report CAG based on the clarification given by the government in interviewing out, studied.
The opposition led by the Congress alleged that the state government has hidden this “special report” on the Kiifb of the public.
“The state government must clarify why this report is not published to date.
There are serious charges against the Kiifb in this audit report,” said the opposition leader VD Sathean.
“In addition to the reports submitted in the Assembly, this particular report is submitted to the government at the same time.
But it is stored as a secret and now has come out through information action.
It has registered all the backdoor appointments made there and costs that do not need to be done in Kiifb , “Satheani said.
The government must conduct a detailed probe into the allegations reported in the audit report because the funds mobilized by Kiifb are public money from motorized vehicle tax and fuel Cess, he said.
CAG, in the initial audit, has raised several questions that cover non-recovery of Rs 31.86 Crore, costs incurred for pravation of Chitty, from KSFE.
Kiifb said spent Rs 18.56 Crore towards the development of software components and technology for Chitty Pravations and Rs 13.3 Crore with respect to various programs set for publicity.
Because of this, Rs 31.86 Crore was spent by Kiifb for Chitty Pravations still did not recover.
It also raised the lack of transparency in the appointment of the main project inspector at Kiifb.
Violations of Government Guidelines in Contractual Appointment, which lead to non-compliance with order norms, are also submitted by CAG in a preliminary audit.
It is said that the creation and appointment of posts in Kiifb is without the government’s consent or command.
Increasing payment of officials after being appointed for consolidated salaries violates the conditions specified in the recruitment order, he added.
Furthermore said that the promise was made for posts that were not in the pretext of the recruitment procedure to the existing post and other posts that have nothing to accommodate certain people.
Irregular benefits and other benefits for employees, including benefits to internal, are found without government approval.
