PANAJI: Private hospital, nursing homes will now have to compulsorily register with the state government following the state cabinet approving the Goa Clinical Establishment Regulation Rule, 2021, on Wednesday.
Stating the private hospital and nursing home cannot run their operations the way they want, Sawant told reporters, “They have to compulsorily register with the directorate of health services.
Till date, we did not have a clinical establishment act in the state, but now we have one in line with that of the Union government.” The state cabinet, on Wednesday, also granted approval to hand over the Pernem bus stand to the Kadamba Transport Corporation from the transport department, Sawant said.
Approval was also granted for the transfer of 4,480sqm of government land at Calapor in Tiswadi taluka to the directorate of panchayat for setting up of a material recovery facility, storage facility, biogas digester and for putting up a cattle pound.
The land is valued at over Rs 6 crore.
The state cabinet also approved the draft Goa Prison Rules 2021.
