Lucknow: The state government on Sunday announced revisions in the night timings at night which will now take effect from 10pm to 6 in the morning.
Previously, the curfew was applied from 9pm to 7 in the morning.
The decision was taken at the team-9 meeting led by the Chairman of the Yogi Adityanath Minister to review the current Covid-19 situation, the government said, was controlled.
According to the State Health Department, 125 fresh Covid-19 cases were reported while 134 people recovered from infection in the last 24 hours.
At present, the number of active cases is 1,594 which slightly down from Saturday 1.608.
Five people give up on infection in the last 24 hours.
Additional Secretary (Medical and Health) Amit Mohan Prasad said the recovery rate was 98.6%.
He, however, stated that infection continued to win and people had to take appropriate precautions.
The state government also continues to test the sample to track the rise of the virus.
At least 2,40,020 samples were tested in 24 hours and the daily peposititivity was found 0.05%.
Until now, more than 16.83 lakh people have recovered from infection.
Meanwhile, 20 new cases were reported from the Sultanpur district.
According to a spokesman for the state government, they are all related to one family.
The main investigation revealed that they recently returned from Maharashtra.
CM has directed that the sequencing of infected people’s genomes was carried out and aggressive search and testing was carried out in the block.
On the vaccination front, more than 3.71 years the vaccine dose has been given so far with around 3.13 crore people get the first dose while 57.97 people lakh are fully vaccinated.
CM says online registration for covid vaccines must be encouraged.
