Government sanctions RS 27.36 CR for MCH

Thiruvananthapuram: The state government has issued administrative sanctions of Rs 27.36 Crore for the development of medical college hospitals (MCH).
Development work worth RS 717 Crore is being carried out in medical colleges as part of the master plan.
About 100 beds were recently established in two ICUS, press records issued by the Office of the Minister of Health.
The heart operation unit was facilitated in the Pediatric Surgery Department in Sab Hospital.
It was for the first time the heart operation unit for children was established in a government hospital in the state.
Special blocks will be arranged in medical colleges to combat infectious diseases.
Anesthetic work station, portable ecocardiographic system, heart lung machine with heating cooling unit, urea breath analyzer is some items that will be installed on MCH.
