Bengaluru: Deputy Chief of Karnataka C n Ashwath Narayan on Thursday said MalShwaram Malid School here will be the first school managed in the country to launch satellites.
“School students in Malleshwaram will be involved in the program to launch 75 satellites as part of the 75th Independence Day celebration, which will be held next year,” Narayan, who was MLA from Malleshwaram, said.

Now, this will be achieved in government high school by taking the assistance of the Indian and Isro Technology Congress Association,” he was quoted as saying by his office in the release.

Noting that in the past few days there has been an increase in registration in several government schools, Narayan said more than the amount, the quality of learning was important.
Government education institutions must compete with private institutions in terms of providing quality education, he said.
On the ongoing vaccination drive for students at higher education institutions, DCM, which holds a higher education portfolio, said 65% of students in government and assisted institutions have been vaccinated.
