Government School Renovated in Belthangady Taluk

Mangaluru: Alumnus, Members of the Advocate and Rotary Club have raised funds to provide Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat Higher Primary Government School Muguli, in Belthangady Taluk, Facelift.
The 60-year-old school is in dilapidated condition.
The school that has 52 children admits, is located in a remote village in Belthangady, and is located in two hectares.
The school began under the leadership of the deceased Muguli M Parameshwar Rao.
Jagadish Rao, an alumnus, an entrepreneur from Bengaluru, a member of the Rotary Club and his son Parameshwar Rao, along with senior advocate BK Dhananjaya Rao and other donors of Rotary Club Indiranagar, Bengaluru, and Rotary Club, has contributed nearly 8.5 lakh.
School renovation.
“The work is underway,” said B Dhananjaya Rao.
Dhananjaya added that the school had educated many students, and when the school teacher said about his dilapidated condition, he decided to help.
“We plan to complete the works in the second week of March,” he said.
Lucy Leena Moras, the principal (responsible), said that two years ago, it was a former Principal of Gertrude d’Souza, who explained to Parameshwar late Rao’s family about the need to renovate the school.
Consider his request, Rao’s family and the others advanced to take the work.
The school roof was repaired three years ago with the help of MLA LAD funds.
At present, it works to put ceramic floors, new bathrooms, paintings, auditoriums and office renovations ongoing.
The Rao family also distributes annual scholarships to a student from each class, which has superior in academics.
