Government has announced it is starting a new site for income taxation e-filing. The official site is going to have a new URL–“https://www.incometax.gov.in”– and it’ll replace the present individual –“https://www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in”. Be aware that both the sites derive from the bonded HTTPS protocol rather than HTTP. The new site is scheduled to go live on June 7, 2021. Revenue Tax e-filing services will likely be down to 6 daysThe Income Tax department also stated that the present Income Tax site — https://www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in– won’t be operating between June 1 and June 6, 2021. You won’t be able get the e-filing services in this time period. The Income Tax department proposed taxpayers to plan their own work appropriately, so , should they should get ITR providers or submit a reply, they will have to do so either May 31, 2021 or after June 7, 2021. The government has extended the deadline for issuing Form 16 by firms from one month to July 15, 2021. Additionally, the date for filing income tax returns for its fiscal year 2020-21 for people was extended to September 30, 2021. The previous date ITR submitting by firms was extended to November 30, 2021. In terms of the new site, it’s anticipated that the ITR filing procedure is going to be retained like the old site.
