Government to provide tablets, smartphones to students

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh cabinet on Tuesday gave his approval on the distribution of free tablets and smartphones among students who pursued higher studies.
This scheme will cost 3,000 crore Rs in the state, a government statement.

The cabinet also approved the RS 37.35 lakh for the installation of the statue of the former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee at the Circuit House in Kanpur.

CM has been authorized to make amendments to resolve practical difficulties in the scheme.

The statement said the decision was taken by looking at the Pandemic Coronavirus as a class held online.
This will help students complete their courses successfully, the statement said.
