New Delhi: The government will take action against several opposition parliamentarians who allegedly behave badly with members of Bench Treasury at Rajya Sabha on Thursday after MP TMC grabbed the paper from the Minister of Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw and ripped them to make a statement of alleged Snooping Row.
Government sources say several opposition parliamentarians “behave badly” with members of Bench Treasury, including a minister, even after the house was postponed.
“We approached the chairman of Rajya Sabha who sought actions against them because their behavior was a blow to the decorum-decorum parliament,” a United minister, who did not want to be named, said.
Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Shantanu Sen grabbed the papers from Vaishnaw after TMC, Congress and other opposition party members, who previously forced two delays in the trial at Rajya Sabha, rushed into a home well when the minister was called to make a statement at Snooping Row Pegasus.
Government sources say the leader of the house in Rajya Sabya Piyush Goyus and his deputy Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi reaches opposition members and convinced them that the Minister will reply to their questions after he made his statement, but in vain.
With Vaishnaw can’t read the full statement, it was put on the table and the house was postponed.
However, the situation remained tense at home because both parties moved in heat exchanges.
Sen accused that the Union Minister of Hardeep Puri verbally misused him in the upper house of parliament and was on the verge of attacking him physically before he was saved by his colleagues.
Puri has so far not commented on this problem.
The Ruling Bharatiya Party (BJP) has described opposition behavior as “new low” in parliament.
