Government’s Internet direct tax collections Climbs over 100 Percent in 2021-22

NEW DELHI: The Centre’s internet direct tax collections to the fiscal year 2021-22 have more than doubled to Rs 1.85 lakh crore, a formal announcement revealed on Wednesday.
In a release, the ministry of finance educated that internet immediate tax collections up to now within this financial have turned into a strong pace despite disruptions due to the Covid-19 pandemic over the market.
“The amounts direct tax collections to the fiscal Year 2021-22, according to June 15 reveal that internet sets have reached Rs 1,85,871 crore compared to Rs 92,762 crore over the corresponding period of the previous calendar year, representing a rise of 100.4 percent increase over the sets of the year,” the announcement said.
Net direct tax collections consist of corporate taxation at Rs 74,356 crore and private income taxation for example security trade tax of 1,11,043 crore.
For its first quarter, progress tax collections stood at Rs 28,780 crore against this of Rs 11,714 crore for the corresponding period of the immediately previous financial year, showing a rise of roughly 146 percent.
The Centre has issued refunds up to Rs 30,731 crore at FY22 until today.
