Governor Kerala Arif Mohammed Khan said he could not tolerate ‘political interference’ at the University

New Delhi / Thiruvananthapuram: Governor Kerala Arif Mohammed Khan on Saturday said that political disorders in higher education institutions in LDF’s ruled countries have become “irresistible” for him.
Governor greeted reporters in New Delhi a day after his letter to the Chairman of the Pinarayany Minister Vijayan, expressed displeasure on alleged political interference at the university, kicking political storms in the southern state.
In a letter that was very said, the Governor had told Vijayan that the first to sign soon if the latter brought the regulation to change the action that empowered the main minister to become a university chancellor.
Noting that the government that day should not disrupt the functioning of the university, hurt their autonomy, said the Governor as a university chancellor he tried his best to save the autonomy of higher education institutions.
“I tried my best to make them understand that you should not interfere in the functioning of the university.
I can’t stand and tolerate this political intervention,” Khan said.
In his letter to CM dated December 8, the governor urged him to change the university’s actions to allow him to take the position of Chancellor.
“I have written a letter to me that the way the political interference happened there (at the University) …
has become unbearable for me and I don’t want to pursue any conflict courses with the government,” Khan said.
The governor with Sarcikstic said in a letter that he had asked the state government to change the action and bring regulations that empower the main minister to become a university chancellor so they (the government) can carry out their political agenda.
“They want to use universities for their political purposes.
And I don’t want to be used for that purpose,” Khan Rued.
Meanwhile, the opposition congress regarding the Government of CPI (M) for this issue, accused that the government left converting universities to “party cells”.
Opposition leaders in the State Assembly, V D Satheesan, are referred to as “very serious” problems raised by the governor in his letter to the Minister of Chief and said it was the latest example of education politicization in the state.
Sathean said the opposition had repeatedly stated with evidence, corruption and nepotism in appointments in the state higher education sector.
“The appointment of the backdoor meeting takes place at the university.
The university is being converted into party cells.
It is better to have a party secretary as Chancellor than the minister’s chairman.
The governor has confirmed what was mentioned by the previous opposition”, the Congress leader said in a statement.
State President of BJP K Surendran also accused the relatives of the ruling politicians appointed in the main posts at universities in the state under the LDF government.
He urged the government to cancel all the promises of illegal meetings made in higher education institutions in the state.
The BJP leader also demanded legal action against them, including representatives of Chancellor, to appoint relatives of ministers and politicians to universities.
