Chennai: Governor R n Ravi on Thursday thanked the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Interior Minister Amit Shah for the support of the Center to Tamil Nadu in aid and rescue operations.
The governor, who is now in Delhi, spoke to the Chief Minister M K Stalin by telephone about the rescue and steps of assistance carried out in Tamil Nadu.
The Governor Ravi was discussed with Stalin by telephone, “about rescue operations and assistance carried out by the state government in the view of heavy rain caused by depression at Bay of Bengal,” Raj Bhavan, Tamil Nadu.
The governor revealed ‘sincere thank you’ to Modi and Shah because of extending their support for the operation of aid and rescue and strengthening the steps for the flood-affected areas in TN.
Ravi also spoke with the Director General of NDRF SN Pradhan, about rescue operations and assistance.
NDRF has mobilized 14 battalions and has more strength on standby, said Raj Bhavan in another tweet.
The Governor of TN was in Delhi for the Governor’s Conference and Governor LT in Rashtrapati Bhavan.
