Govt Backtracks on the right to hide, make 3,000 pages of the public DPR

Thiruvananthapuram / Kochi: After many dithering, including unreasonable claims that the release will have an impact on national security, the Kerala Government finally published a detailed project report (DPR) from the Silverline Silverline Rail Project.
The report, which runs to more than 3,000 pages spread over six volumes, is basically a long elaboration of important points mentioned in the executive summary which is part of the public domain a few weeks ago.
Apart from RIM aimed at the funding factors and estimates of passenger volume and generation of income, which experts have dissected and found contracts, the DPR reduced to the possible environmental impact of the project.
The same concern is the availability of raw materials for construction.
