According to KMC, with this stock, the drive in 144 vaccination clinics and 50 mega centers will continue without interruption until Thursday.
The thinning stock has encouraged the state to give KMC with a nod once to buy this syringe from the open market that will be replaced later.
The State Bengal Government has also set aside Rs 1 Crore for syringes that require Rs 5 per piece.
It also asks for the center to give 20 needle nets of the lakh trail.
“The arrival of the stock of fresh syringes from the country is a big relief.
This will allow us to run our vaccination clinic and the mega centers for the next three days,” said a senior health department official KMC.
Officials on Sunday revealed anxiety over the consideration of advertising syringes.
