Govt encourages affordable housing schemes in Rajasthan

Jaipur: The state government has provided relaxation to developers who build affordable homes under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode in the state.
The decision was taken after the rate to build an affordable house including a weaker economic part (EWS) and a lower income group (LIG) slowed because of the existing policies, which became obstacles in reaching the target of 4,200 houses.
Along with the relaxation of setbacks to build affordable homes in private land, the government also provides relaxation in providing approval.
A official said, “For a building has a height of up to 45 meters, the developer will be given a 6 meter setback.
For this, there will be no requirements to request the state of the state government.
Similarly, believe in urban development (UITS) and development authorities (Das ) Can provide high permission of up to 30 meters and 40 meters, at its level without seeking higher approval.
“On May 31, 2017, an order is issued in this matter.
In this case, registered architects are authorized to approve the project.
However, on July 17, 2018 an order was also issued where the UIT and Das were given the right to give high permits, instead of architects because of the jammed process.
“Now, in the last order issued by the approved project between 2017 and 2018 by the architect will not require the state government permission again,” said an official.
The state government plans to complete construction work after taking loans from housing and the development of Urban Corporation Ltd (HUDCO).
“After the success of the Head of the Chief of Chief Jan Wearing Yojana and the affordable housing scheme failed to deposit installments during the pandemic, many project jams.
The projects will be completed after taking a loan.” The department will take Rs 200 Crore loans to complete these projects.
While Rs 160 Crore will be spent to build 19,244 pending houses under Jan Wear Yojana, Rs 40 Crore will be spent to build 4,112 affordable homes.
