Govt Forcing Dense Dense Dense Dense Rebel Groups for Drop St Status Request: Aasaa

Guwahati: Leading Adivasi Organizations such as Associate Association of Students Assam (AASAA) and the Adivasi National Conference (ANC) on Saturday accused the state government allegedly forcing five ceasefire militant clothes to bring down the main demand for scheduled tribes (ST).
The status for tea tribes (adivasis) before the government resolves the agreement proposed with them for their rehabilitation.
Six OBC communities in Assam, including tea tribes, have demanded ST status for years and the government can actively look at him before Lok Sabha’s polls 2024.
At a press conference here on Saturday, President Ausisa Stephen Lakra said, “Why is it called Adivasi because it should be an agreement between the government and the ceasefire group.
In addition, will the main problems, on the basis of organizations formed, features in the agreement? “Even though Aasisa and ANC welcome to move to rehabilitate the militants who have put their arms, They have a reservation about the process of settlement.
“Where is the notice by the government and who is the guy’s person? Is he eligible to become a mediator?” Lakra asked.
The organization questioned the contents of the agreement and if the adivated community has given its mandate to formulate it.
“There are three core problems that need to be handled – Status, fair wages for tea garden workers and autonomous satellite councils,” they said, adding that the agreement was only a 2024 general election trick.
For more than 25 years, an adivated organization and Civil society groups have submitted many memoranda to the government to register their demands.
The community is largely found in the highlands of Chota Nagpur in East India and in the present Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.
Migration of tea tribes for Assam can be traced back to British rules.
They were taken to knock on the economic potential of tea cultivation in the early 1820s.
Then, when identity and ethnic questions arise, there is a socio-political tension.
Aasisa claimed Adivasis settled in Assam even before Mongoloids.
A 15% of the population of more than 3.5 crore from the state, 11 strong workers from a strong tea community in Assam played an important role not only in the economy but also in northern elections and above.
The adivational organization felt the government tried to divide the community by ‘regulating political gimmick’ to eliminate their constitutional rights communities in an effort to collect votes in general elections in 2024.
“If members of the ceasefire group fail to discuss and improve the implementation of time bound (before 2023) With the government regarding ST status, minimum wages, such as repeatedly promised by the ruling government since 2014, the Aasaa and Likeminded organizations will begin to look into other alternatives within the constitutional framework to find eternal political solutions to find solutions.
After the Festival of Karam This September, “said Lakra.
While the citizenship bill was passed on Lok Sabha on January 8, 2019, the Government led by BJP at the Center introduced the Constitutional Bill (Tribe) of the Bill (Amendment), 2019 in Rajya Sabha on January 9, the same year as the goal of giving ST status to six communities in Assam, which currently enjoys the status of OBC.
The names of six communities — Koch Rajbongshi, Tai Ahom, Chutia, Matak, Moran and Tribal Tea — displayed in the bill to provide St.
status.
But these communities have not received status because it must be ascertained by the state government before the bill can be passed in parliament.
“The State Cabinet Committee is given the responsibility to decide on the quantum of reservation for six communities.
But there is no decision to be taken,” said Head of Coordinator of the Assam (CCTOA) Coordinating Committee, Aditya Khaklar.
