GUWAHATI: Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday reported the Centre and the state authorities are searching for a”middle course” to take forward dialog with Ulfa (I) headed by Paresh Baruah, that needs talks about its own sovereignty requirement.
He, however, added that the entire process will require some time.
Sarma said this following his 2 rounds of meetings with Union home minister Amit Shah, NSA Ajit Doval and officials of both IB from New Delhi on Wednesday and Thursday.
The talks were held mostly to provide the last form to your peace accord with rebels of Karbi Anglong district of this country.
“Paresh Baruah was saying in the press that dialogue has to be stored on sovereignty.
On the flip side, while it’s the PM or the CM or some other minister, then he or she’s obtained the solemn oath to safeguard India’s sovereignty.
Below this circumstance, the two sides are to opposite poles,” Sarma said.
