NEW DELHI: The Civil Aviation Ministry on Saturday said it’s allowed drone surgeries, which can be according to its own no-permission-no-takeoff (NPNT) plot, around 400 ft over the ground in 166 fresh green zones throughout the nation.
The NPNT strategy needs an operator to assume consent from aviation DGCA, utilizing an program, before every drone flight.
If this consent isn’t obtained, the drone will not work.
“Flying in those accepted’green-zones’ will need just intimation of time and place of the flights through the Digital Sky portal site or the program,” a Civil Aviation Ministry announcement said.
All these 166 green zones have been along with the 66 green zones approved by the ministry until date, ” the announcement said.
The new zones allowed on Saturday have been at Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Uttar Pradesh.
