Mumbai: As COVID-19 cases are on a rise once again in the state, the Maharashtra government on Friday decided to amend the five-level Unlock plan for the time being.
Instead of five, there will now be only three levels, with Level 3 having the maximum relaxation.
The state informed that it will do away with Level 1 and Level 2 for now, which had almost no restrictions.
All districts which currently fall under Level 1 and 2 will be automatically shifted to Level 3.

var idattr = div.getAttribute(“id”).replace(“323275″,”323285”)
div.setAttribute(“id”,idattr);
}
)();

In Level 3, malls and theatres are not allowed to be functional while restaurants can allow dine-in services only until 4 pm, post which they can remain open only for deliveries and take-aways.
The development comes even as Health Minister Rajesh Tope said that there was no question of imposing new restrictions.
Meanwhile, local trains will continue to remain out of bounds for Mumbaikars until further notice.
Only essential and healthcare workers are allowed to board the trains now with proper passes and identity cards.
Authorities also informed that only results of RT-PCR tests will be considered for determining the weekly positivity rate and if a district wants to move up from its existing level, a two-week declining trend will be examined.
Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has also advised district collectors to not rush to lift restrictions in their respective administrative units, but instead, prepare themselves for a possible third wave.
