NEW DELHI: Union minister Jitendra Singh on Monday said household pension rules are simplified in light of this Covid-19 pandemic.
Giving a short regarding the critical reforms undertaken with the Department of Pension and Pensioners Welfare (DoP&PW), he stated, a supply was recently designed for its provisional family pension to be warranted promptly on receipt of claim for family pension and death certification from the qualified relative without needing different obligations or procedural needs to be finished.
This provision is important in the event of death occurring during the ordeal, possibly due to Covid or non-Covid trigger, said Singh.
According to Rules 80 (A) of the CCS (Pension) Rule 1972, on passing of the authorities servant during ceremony, provisional family pension may be justified into the qualified member of their household, just after the household pension case was forwarded to the cover and balances division (PAO), an announcement issued from the employees ministry stated.

Likewise the minister advised that in light of this Covid pandemic yet another major reform declared recently supplies that payment of retirement could be extended up into a duration of one year from the date of retirement with the concurrence of both PAO and following the acceptance from the head of this section.
